So Cool and good for you! Last year we also moved out to the country with our 7 children for the very same reasons, we don’t have very much land, but live right next door to a horse farm and a dairy farm where our children are working and learning how to ride for free. It is a dream come true. We plan on getting chickens in the spring, but I am a bit intimidated. We also have a small barn with two stalls and a nice corrall (it used to be a Llama farm), everyone who sees it says, goat farm, but goats stink! Oh well, I am hoping to wean the suburbanite completely out of me, but it has been a slow process. You have been inspiring me to do more,especially with the garden. I am so glad for your family!! As far as the extended family, we upset our extended family too, but in the end that was the best also, it allows us to be our own family unit.
