I had so much fun teaching in Texas and the models were amazing! So cute and so easy to work with-the ladies out there did an incredible job getting them all lined up. My only regret is that we weren’t able to meet all the models due to some storms that blew in. But nonetheless, we had a blast! This is the son of the workshop host and I really wanted to take her boys home with me-they were so cute and so well behaved! More to come as I edit my way through them.

And the workshop itself was so much fun! We had a perfect group of 11 ladies, the location was awesome, the weather was gorgeous (except for a few hours one night) and the whole trip was so fun. Thank you, thank you to all who attended and to local ladies who made it so easy for us all to get around. I miss you all!

Livvie is one of Bella’s good friends from church and she was kind enough to model for me while I was teaching last week. She really is one of the sweetest little girls I know and I’m lucky to have had the chance to photograph her since she was just a toddler.  Thank you Livvie!

I’m getting ready to head out of town to hold a workshop in Ohio, but had to take a break from packing to edit and share these. I love our spring and summer evenings here in Indiana…everything is so beautiful and right now all the flowers are in bloom. Sigh…just too perfect. I sneaked a few shots of Bella before we headed in for bedtime and just loved them.

I had the opportunity to photograph these gorgeous sisters from Florida while they were in Indiana a couple of weeks ago. We visited their beautiful family farm for their session and I just adore their portraits. It reminded me of the country farm that I grew up on-in fact their mom and I discovered we both owned Arabian horses as teens! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

I’ve had this album in my head for months, but needed an incentive to finish it up. Well, today was the last day for me to take advantage of an album sale and that did it! I love designing as much as I love the art of photography and this album was just too fun to make. I wanted it to scream happiness and whimsy, with bright colors that still held to the vintage feel that all of my design seem to have. I think I pulled it off and am thrilled with the results! And of course I have to share with you all. The photo challenge over at  i ♥ faces this week is angles and I love the angle  on this photo. I shot it from this angle so I could show her holding the puppy she was carrying around that day. I also wanted to get good light in her eyes in spite of her wearing the hat so I just had her look up at me.

I was just playing with some ideas for the new baby’s nursery and wanted to share. I’m not sure I’ll go with this one, but it was fun to play and quite a few of Bella’s baby things were celery green and soft pink so I can re-use a lot. But knowing me, I’ll come up with more themes and ideas before she arrives and will have a hard time choosing my favorite.
