On to September…what a beautiful month
February 12th, 2014 , Posted in Lilly, my family, PersonalSeptember is one of my favorite months…everything seems to be on the verge of change. Summer is still holding on, but when the suns sets the air feels like fall. The summer humidity starts to fade and we spend almost every evening outside-sometimes playing with the kids and sometimes sitting on our front porch watching the sun go down with a glass of wine.
A beautiful end to summer.
July 2013
January 24th, 2014 , Posted in Farm, my family, PersonalJuly was a flurry of birthdays, endless days full of weeding and harvesting for our farm customers, canning and preserving food, starting fall seedlings. Work from sunup to sundown meant that most of my photos were captured on my phone. If you want to see more, find me on Instagram at http://instagram.com/lprofancik
This will suffice for July…a rare moment of peace and quiet in an incredibly busy month.

January 24th, 2014 , Posted in Bella, Lilly, my family, PersonalBella turned 8…and all of a sudden started looking so much older. I tell her what my dad always told me….she will always, always be my little girl no matter how big she gets.
These 2 photos were taken 5 years apart.
Silly Lilly trying out goggles.
Fun at my parents house with cousins.
I got a brand new nephew!
He’s pretty adorable!
May

We spent a lot of time out on the back patio playing in buckets of water.
Sugar got HUGE.
Dandelions like never before!
She loves helping with the eggs…even though she cracks half and can’t always carry the basket.Â
My little farm girl.
Again with the insane dandelions!
Bella proving that she IS NOT a morning person.
Pretty typical attire for Lilly. 🙂
One of the many rainbows we are always so blessed to see out here. Â Seems we’ve spent a lot of time the last 2 years sitting out here praying for rain and watching rainbows.Â

My sweet girls. The light was so beautiful the other night that that I couldn’t resist taking them into the front yard for a quick shoot. I’m in love with the photographs I came away with.
Both of these were edited with my new Daydream action set.
This is Your Life
June 6th, 2013 , Posted in my family, Personal, UncategorizedDoes it ever hit you that life isn’t going to last forever? When I was in my 20’s I thought about that, but it never really hit home. I’m still young, but I see my boys growing up and turning into young men, my baby is 2 years away from school and I’m reminded that life is fleeting. It goes by so unbelievably fast. This season of my life will be over before I know it and I want to savor every moment, I want to enjoy my children, I want to be present in this part of my life.
I had all these hopes and dreams for my children when they were born-things we would do together, what we would teach them, how we would raise them and so on. While it may not have always gone 100% according to plan, I can say that these children are the prize jewels in my life’s crown. How good my God is to have given me these four beautiful children to guide to adulthood and what amazing people they are growing up to be. They are loving, kind, obedient, respectful, love their God, are full of joy, they see the wonder in this world, love to give and are the joy of our lives.
A few years ago I traveled a TON for my job and while it was glamorous jet-setting around the world, in the end I missed my children so much that I decided it wasn’t worth it for me. I missed those loud, crazy evening meals, the mornings with a pile of kids in my bed, the quiet evenings watching the sun go down with freshly bathed kids next to me. I missed being the one to kiss them when they were hurt, hearing them play silly games in the next room, I wanted to be the one to make cookies with them. Â I decided that they were only going to be here in our home for a short time and THEY are who I chose. I had become so busy helping others create beautiful memories of their children and families that I wasn’t there with mine. Who knows what God has in store for my life after they head out on their own, but for now they are my calling and what a beautiful life we are creating.
One of my favorite songs says…this is your life, are you who you want to be? I can say with all honesty that this life is more than I ever dreamed it could be. It’s not always perfect, but the blessings are so abundant.
This is Your Life
Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead
Yesterday is a promise that you’ve broken
Don’t close your eyes, don’t close your eyes
This is your life and today is all you’ve got now
Yeah, and today is all you’ll ever have
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be?
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
Yesterday is a kid in the corner
Yesterday is dead and over
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be?
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
Don’t close your eyes
This is your life are you who you want to be?
This is your life are you who you want to be?
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
And you had everything to lose
Lilly’s 2 Year Session
February 15th, 2013 , Posted in Lilly, my family, Personal, Wayward Lane FarmLilly-she’s the little exclamation point at the end of our family. She’s such a happy little girl, truly the most joyful child I’ve ever met and I don’t think I’m saying that just because she’s mine. She just has this bubbly, sweet, sunny, personality that makes you fall in love with her. I sing her the song “You are my Sunshine” and mean every word. I’m so blessed that God chose me to be her Mama.
Indiana Wheat Fields
June 7th, 2012 , Posted in Bella, Farm, my family, PersonalOne of my favorite parts of living in midwest farm country is the beautiful winter wheat fields. I love how they are the first fields to turn green before spring really even arrives. And that golden glow in June-as a photographer and a country girl I can’t ever resist it. I’ve pulled over many times while driving back country roads so that I can get a good photograph of those beautiful fields. One of the first of my signature field photos was taken years ago when we were driving home from my parents house and passed this amazing wheat field just glowing in the sunset. We pulled over and piled out of the car and I captured this photograph of my boys. I guess you could say this is when my love affair with photographing sessions in fields began.
All of the fields around us are getting close to harvest time so I had to take the opportunity to do some shoots before all the wheat is gone for this year.
First is up is a mini session with Bella, but there is more to come!
If you want to book a wheat field photoshoot, please contact me ASAP-the fields will likely be gone within 5-10 days.
