My sister brought C. over for his 6 month photos and this was one of my favorites. C is the smiliest, sweetest, drooliest little man and I love it when I get to see him. It’s been so fun having a baby nearly the same age as my sister’s little guy -Lilly and C. were both born EXACTLY one month apart. And both came a little before their due dates too. Very ironic.

We love to just sit them in front of each other and watch what they decide to do. Yes, we’re easily entertained by our beautiful children.

“Uh…Mama, could you please wipe his face before he gets drool on me?”

Over the last few weeks, Lilly has gone from soft coos to all kinds of screeches, giggles, screams, babbles, squeals, etc. I love it! She is fitting right in with my noisy crew and is certainly holding her own.

The flu came to our house a few weeks ago and slowly made it’s rounds. Blech. Lilly was the last one to get it (aside from Damian who so far seems immune). I hate seeing my happy-go-lucky little girl all subdued and pitiful. She just whimpers and tries to get comfy and of course, melts her Mommy’s and Daddy’s heart. I don’t like it when the older ones are sick, but it’s especially hard to watch a baby deal with it. Fortunately I think she’s on the mend.

More snow here in Indiana today! I’m like a kid sometimes, I never get tired of snow-at least it hasn’t happened yet. I know, I know, some of you out there are so done with it. But the kid in me can’t help wishing we would get THE BIG ONE soon. It’s exciting! 3-6 inches is wonderful, but how about a good solid foot? Okay, I will stop now for all of you snow haters.

Our sweet little Lilly is literally changing day by day-she seems to learn something new constantly. Blowing raspberries and making kissing noises are two of her favorite talents at the moment. Oh and of course the squealing, she is always squealing about something, whether she wants a bite, her toy rolled away and she can’t get it, big sister Bella being so very silly, the dog looked at her, daddy came home, ooo-there’s a flag, I better squeal! I love it!

This little girl of mine LOVES. LIFE. She wants to be involved in everything and she refuses to be outdone by her big brothers and sister.  She is at the same time a firecracker and a cuddle bunny, melt your heart sweet and completely headstrong. She belly laughs more then any child of mine has at this age. Whatever Lilly does she does with every ounce of her little being. I want to hold her here at this age forever and yet I cannot wait to see her amazing personality continue to develop as she grows. In the words of Dr. Suess…OH! THE PLACES YOU’LL GO!

Our sweet Lilly when she was nearly 2 weeks old. I look at the pictures of her when she was this tiny and fresh and can’t believe how much she’s changed in just 2 months. It really does go by too quickly. I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t ask her to slow down. It seems like the time is passing even faster with her then it did with my other children…maybe because she is our last baby. Whatever the reason, I treasure each day and am so thankful that God has given me the ability to capture every moment with my camera.
