I was able to shoot this sweet little guy just before I left for Australia and he was such a fun guy to photograph. His mom and dad brought him in to me within a couple days of bringing him home from the hospital where he had been born 8 weeks early. I love it when parents bring the babies in as soon as they can, they photograph so well when they are still sleepy and bend into all of those newborn poses. He was such a sweet, tiny little guy.

I can’t believe the fun I had with this shoot. I’m in Australia staying with Ainslie while Ali Hohn is here teaching and I am so thrilled with what I’m able to shoot now.

This mom was beyond gorgeous and she is due in 3 weeks! And she was such a trooper, willing to try all the poses we asked her to do-which included climbing up a sand dune.

I’ve only been back home for a few days, and I’m still dreaming of the gorgeous weather we had in Hawaii. Damian and I spent a week there doing a private workshop with Tammy Wahl and enjoying the warm weather. Tammy and Evan were absoluetly wonderful hosts, and we feel lucky have count them as our friends now. Tammy mentioned it began raining just as we left so I feel even more blessed by the wonderful week of weather we experienced there.  BTW, Tammy, I’m starting on your family photos and LOVE them! It always seems harder to get the guys in to do their high school senior photos, so I was glad when Daniel and his mom asked me to do his session. We had so much fun with his photos and Daniel had some great ideas of his own that really rocked.  I had a hard time choosing my faves, but here are a few. Check this cutie out, he was such a little star! I have so many happy grins and adorable expressions from this session that I had a tough time choosing a few faves for the blog. His mom is a photographer and she sure does have the perfect model! I loved all the outfits they brought for him, what great choices! This past week has been wild! October is always crazy for us, but this one has been more insane then usual. Damian burned his leg last week while trying to burn a brush pile. Don’t worry, he’ll be fine, but he’s had to take it easy.  Which he never does like he should…grrr…why are men so stubborn (you know I love you, D!). And there’s our teaching trip to Australia and New Zealand in just over a week. I can’t believe we leave so soon! Whew! I’m excited to meet all of the photographers we’ll be working with and to see everything out there. Ok…now I’m starting to think I need to wrap this post up and get back to work.

I had the chance to do a session for another very talented Indiana photographer from Bloomington. I met Wendi months ago and loved her sweet, spunky personality, not to mention her work. She seriously is a BLAST to hang out with! Then I find out she has an adorable redheaded son and of course I have a soft spot for redheads-me being one and having my own redhead little guy. I was tickled to have the chance to do a session for Wendi and her little man. She is one of the sweetest, most patient moms I’ve met and her son is beyond cute!
