The joy of a good book…
Belle loves her books right now, especially any that have animals in them. She likes it when we read them to her and make funny animal sounds. I think, though, her favorite part is turning the page. She tends to turn the page when you’re only halfway through reading it her. Oh well, patience will come in time. lol

Your children are such a blessing, Leah. I’m so so so happy that Belle likes books, even if she can’t read them yet. I think books are really important to children and their learning and imagination. Even if they’re just picture books. Keep reading, and if you get tired, give me a call and I’ll come with a tirade (is that right?) or Dr. Seuss and other beloveds!

What an adorable picture! You have beautiful children.
My soon-to-be three year old went through a stage where he loved his books. Reading is an excellent opportunity for teaching new things. Animal sounds are very fun. We taught Shepard some variations of animal sounds. A horse says “neigh”, but we also made a sound like when a horse blows it’s nose/mouth. It was really fun and it’s so cute watching them mimick you.

How adorable! Gracie loved those books when she was little….we have a ton of them but now she says “she’s to big for them” and so I fight with our dog because he runs in her room and snags them. =)
